Metroid Prime 4 Beyond

Over eight years since its announcement and reboot, Nintendo has confirmed a release date for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It’s out on December 4th worldwide for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Check out the latest trailer from the recent Nintendo Direct, which highlights the new Vi-O-La bike.

The vehicle allows for traversing the extensive sands and massive towers of Viewros, and Samus can even fire on enemies while driving. Of course, she’ll need to traverse the giant planet on foot as well, using her grappling hook to activate switches, the Morph Ball for traversing small tunnels, and more. Various enemies are also showcased, culminating in the arrival of Sylux, Samus’s nemesis.

Further details will be revealed in the coming months, so stay tuned. In the meantime, Nintendo has announced three new amiibo: Samus alongside the Vi-O-La bike on November 6th, and Sylux on December 4th. For more extensive gameplay of the Switch 2 version, including mouse controls, head here.
